No Ragrets

If I had any advice to give someone, at any age, it would be to follow your dreams. Life is too short not to.

But the second, which really is the rubber-meets-the-road, actionable, support system to the first is that everything in life is negotiable. “You don’t get if you don’t ask” has been a philosophy that has opened amazing doors for me.

Whether it has been for salary, purchasing real estate, or working two months in Costa Rica: just having the guts to ask for what you want has been incredibly good to me.

There is a way to go about it though. Somewhat of a process. Anyone can do this so pay attention.

First, don’t listen to the haters.

When I was in real estate, I heard so many times from many people (including Realtors), “You can’t do that”. The question in life should always be HOW can I do that. So far, I have found a way. You sometimes have to ask the right people. A realtor might not know everything about every type of real estate transaction. Asking a real estate lawyer, however, might get different results.

Second, envision yourself achieving your dream.

Imagine yourself in that car, living in that house, with that lady or those ladies. I always like to say, whatever I can wrap my mind around is attainable to me. Some religions call that faith.

“For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Matthew 7:8
